My Approach

Whether you are seeking clarity, growth, or relief, therapy is a powerful step toward living a more grounded and fulfilling life. My role as a therapist is to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and clinical insight – helping you move forward with greater self-awareness and resilience.

I draw on a range of evidence-based therapies including Dialectical Behavioral TherapyCognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy. I also utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy, in my approach to couple’s therapy. These approaches are grounded in research and tailored to help individuals and couples to develop practical skills for managing emotions, changing unhelpful thought patterns, more effective communication, and living more fully in alignment with their values. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or life transitions, I work collaboratively with you to develop effective strategies that support lasting growth and resilience.

The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.

Individual Therapy

In individual therapy, I provide a supportive and interactive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs, ensuring that you feel heard, respected, and actively involved in your healing journey. In specializing in evidence-based therapies, I have found in my 30 years of practice that these coping strategies are very effective in increasing awareness and challenging distorted thought patterns, regulating painful and persistent emotional distress, and building on effective ways of coping effectively with destructive urges and behaviors.

Couples Therapy

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) helps couples overcome communication barriers by  identifying and addressing the underlying emotions and attachment needs that fuel conflict. Instead of focusing solely on surface-level issues, EFT guides partners to recognize negative patterns that block effective communication, access and express vulnerable emotions, foster empathy and understanding, and create new healthier interaction patterns.

Meet Craig

30 years of experience in mental health.

After working in various treatment settings including inpatient, residential, and outpatient group practices for over 25 years, I decided to take the leap into private practice in August 2021. Since then, as a solo owner and clinician, I have been very fulfilled with building my practice for the past four and half years. I have found that my earlier experiences working on higher level of care units afforded me the opportunity to work with patients who were acutely symptomatic and often in crisis situations. In working with these patients, I learned that building a therapeutic alliance to foster trust was vital in motivating patients to be open to learning effective coping strategies that are rooted in evidence-based therapies that I learned along the way in my professional career.

These experiences have helped shape my approach in working with clients who experience a wide range of mental health disorders and issues including Major Depression, Bipolar Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Trauma, Eating Disorders, Life Transitions, and Relationship Conflicts along with others as well.
